HELLO!

I am RITA,

your photographer!

For more than a decade already I and my two Maine Coons - Christopher and Chloe (yes, human names) call South East London a home.

The Photography bug - I got it from my dad! It was he who inspired me and allowed me to hang out with him in darkrooom whilst he was creating magic - making images appear on paper pieces in bowls of water. It was a true magic to me! I got my first camera at the age of 15 and have not looked back. It was my dad's old soviet made film camera "Zenit". Who knows, knows! And I took it with me everywhere.

I was obsessed with taking photos. That was pre-digital era, all analog. So long ago. These days I make my photos digital with Nikon products, often attempting to recreate that film and darkroom feel in B&W photos.

I studied fine arts, design and photography for about 12 years. And this background helps to ensure that your photos will be well composed and beautiful.

Making photos is like breathing to me. Easy and precious.

I have always been fascinated by people, by humanity; we are all so similar, yet unique. I absolutely love the glamorous, styled and posed editorial shoots, but my soul sings every time I manage to steal and save a precious, emotional moment. As a photographer I am so honoured to be present, trusted and allowed to do it.

I believe the photos possess a portion of magic dust that will bring you back to this day again and again. Years pass us by so quickly, make time for getting your pictures taken. - those will be the memories that you keep.

For me this is a labour of love. Doing it for the love of beauty, for the sake of photography as such, for people, for happiness.

I take my coffee black.

I loooove books. Official book hoarder.

I love plants and flowers very much. And bush roses are my favourite.

I must travel. I must climb mountains and take walks in forests and by seasides. That is how I fix myself.

I love listening to music from early and mid 20th century: Ella Fitzgerald, Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone and others.

They move my soul. Lana del Rey too.

Cats. and Dogs. But cats more.

And I love people - real, happy and kind!
